Dr. Kyle E. Brost
Originally from central Wisconsin, Dr. Kyle Brost graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1978 as his class valedictorian. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri in 1987.
After spending a year in an optometric practice in Warrensburg, Missouri, Dr. Brost opened his own practice in Cape Girardeau in 1989. In 1990, he opened a second office in Perryville, and in 1996, added a third location in Fredericktown.
Dr. Brost’s specialties are glaucoma and ocular disease management, contact lenses and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Brost is President of the Missouri State Board of Optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, Southeast Missouri Optometric Society, Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society, Cape Girardeau Noon Lions Club, Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, Perryville Chamber of Commerce, and Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Brost resides in Cape Girardeau with his wife, Chris, and two sons, Will and Kevin. He enjoys scuba diving, golf and fishing.
Dr. Meredith E. McLeod
Dr. Meredith E. McLeod graduated from Saint Louis University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She completed rotations in primary care, ocular disease, pediatrics and contact lenses at Eye Care Specialists in Cape Girardeau, as well as Pepose Vision Institute and Anheuser Bush Institute in St. Louis. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2015.
Dr. McLeod specializes in primary care, pediatric and geriatric optometry
Dr. McLeod is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association and the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Cape Girardeau, Dr. McLeod is the daughter of Mark and Vicky Busch. Her husband, Ross, is an engineer with Proctor and Gamble. They have a son named Will.
